Lost and Found

As Jessica rustled through her bottom dresser drawer desperately looking for a matching sock, her fingers stumbled upon a small plastic bag crumpled in a back crevice.

Quickly she pulls it out to examine the contents, and much to her surprise, it’s her Great Grandmother’s pearl earrings.  Her mother gave them to her on her wedding day and she hasn’t seen them since.

Eagerly she turns to the mirror and carefully puts each one on.  “There.  That’s what was missing.”
